Sunday September 6th, will see the annual Leukaemia Research Fund bikeathon held, which is organised by the Southend branch committee and chairman Terry Joyce.
This year includes Gemma's dad Duncan who will particpate in this event, this will be his 2nd attempt. In 1998 both Duncan & Gemma's brother Dean, then 11 took part in this well organised event.
Duncan has no set time targets, but just wanted to be part of a very special day where there will probably be over 1000 cyclists taking part.
